The rooms were very clean and enough big to stay for a week. The location is very near to Ephesus, Temple of Artemis and St. John Basilica. Also they help so much about the excursions. The food was traditional and amazing. It has a transparent kitchen which can be seen by everyone at the restaurant part. They make food workshops that you can learn how to do Turkish deserts and food. I will come back one day, that’s for sure.
We stayed in The Cloisters, directly behind Queen Bee, and Menekse (the care taker of our house) arranged for us to have a Turkish cooking class hosted by Ozge the fabulous cook and owner of Queen Bee, with her lovely sister Ozgur and their friend Melo (wonderful translator). Their establishment had only been open for 4 days! The cooking class was excellent – stuffed aubergine, with a very tasty bulgar wheat side dish as well as a side of home made yoghurt, garlic and purslane. We helped with some of the prep and our daughters, 9 and 12, enjoyed a very different holiday experience, including wearing the traditional scarves round our heads while we cooked.
